The FIFA Fan Festival™ officially opened its doors in Guadalajara. From early in the morning, thousands of fans gathered at Plaza Liberación to be part of The Most Mexican Celebration, right in the heart of the Pearl of the West.
Entire families, groups of friends and visitors of all ages arrived wearing the colors of the Mexican National Team to enjoy a day filled with excitement, music and a shared passion for football. Surrounded by flags, chants and smiles, Guadalajara’s Historic Downtown became a vibrant meeting place where football was the common language.

What began with thousands of people arriving from all corners of the city soon turned into a massive community celebration. For a few hours, Plaza Liberación felt like a place where everyone knew each other. Strangers celebrated side by side, shared photos, exchanged predictions and joined together in one voice every time El Tri appeared on the giant screens.

And as every great celebration deserves a memorable moment, Mexico’s victory over South Africa sparked an explosion of joy among the crowd. Fans celebrated with hugs, songs and applause, turning every corner of Plaza Liberación into a sea of excitement.
The Most Mexican Celebration is a space designed for the whole family, featuring activities, food for every taste and plenty of live music. Over the next 39 days, thousands of fans will come together to share the excitement of football, celebrate Mexican traditions and enjoy a unique experience throughout the FIFA World Cup 2026™.
